Take center stage at the 28th Annual Career Expo on February 16, 2012 - Present your Live Resume to approximately 80 employers.

What is a Live Resume?
A Live Resume is a great opportunity for job seekers to market themselves to a room full of potential employers. This workshop prepares individuals to present a live resume during Career Expo, where each person gets one minute in front of the room to give an overview of their experiences, skills, qualifications, strengths, and explain why an employer should hire them.

It is very important that job seekers have their presentation well rehearsed and timed beforehand. It is also important that job seekers be dressed as though they were going to an interview and they bring plenty of copies of their resume to hand out to employers and others they meet through this networking experience.

Workshops are FREE and open to students and commuity members.

2012 Art Faculty Exhibition

February 13 – March 8, 2012
Opening Reception:  3 PM, February 16 in the Esvelt Gallery

The annual faculty exhibition will showcase new work created by current and emeritus CBC art faculty.  A  variety of media  - painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, photography and styles from realistic  to abstract to non-representational will be featured.  The public is invited to attend the opening reception on February 16th at 3:00 Pm in the Esvelt Gallery where they will have the opportunity to meet the art faculty and discuss the pieces in the show with them.

Join the Washington State Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Poetry Foundation, and Columbia Basin College as we host the first regional finals for the nationwide Poetry Out Loud recitation competition. Students from local high schools will be reciting classical and contemporary poetry as they compete for a chance to go to the Washington state finals.

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) Scholar application for the 2012-2013 academic year is due February 15, 2012.
